With April nearly over, I thought I would give you a brief overview of activity across the sales offices for the month and compare that with March. It has felt a little quieter, particularly with the Easter holidays, so let’s see what the data says! In April we have registered 546 buyers, down by 22%, have been instructed on 33 new properties, down by 10%, and agreed 39 sales, down by 18%, however we have conducted 666 viewings, up by 1%, and there has been no reduction in the number of market appraisals carried out. Interestingly, according to Rightmove, new instructions are down 9% across the country, and sales are down by 19%, showing our activity throughout April certainly reflects the wider market. Many will ask if this is the start of a slow down in the market, or is it just that lots of families were away for Easter and had put their home search and sale on hold until May?
